Popular Nigerian actor of the Yoruba genre, Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe has debunked rumors spreading like wildfire about his death, saying he has more years to live.
The renowned comedian has been ill for some sometime and was recently flown out of the country to the US where he is receiving medical treatment.

In a video that has gone viral, Baba Suwe confirmed he was in Rhode Island, US, receiving treatment, courtesy of well-meaning Nigerians.
“Thank you so much to everyone who made me go to America for treatment”, he said.
“Because of you all I’m in America, doing fine and receiving treatment.
“I am fine and recuperating in Rhode Island. Anyone that wants me dead will die before me because I will live more years.”
It can be recalled that one well-meaning Nigerian who wasted no time in coming to Baba Suwe’s aid when she was briefed about his precarious situation was the woman with a heart of gold; compassionate and kind, Rev. Esther Ajayi, who doled out $10m and provided the fare to fly the thespian out of the country for treatment.
Baba Suwe was accompanied by his son, Sola Omidina on the trip.
